4. Third-party voice assistant integrations
RelayLink supports optional voice control through third-party platforms, including Amazon Alexa and Google Home / Google Assistant. You are never required to use these integrations to use the App.
If you choose to link your RelayLink account to a voice assistant, we may process additional information needed to complete account linking and respond to smart home requests, such as:
- Sign-in details you enter on our authorization pages;
- OAuth authorization codes, access tokens, refresh tokens, and related link metadata;
- Device identifiers, names, types, capabilities, and states needed for discovery, status reporting, and control;
- Technical logs such as request timestamps and API paths for security and troubleshooting.
We use this information only to provide the voice control features you enable. We do not receive or store the content of your voice commands; voice and audio processing is handled by the relevant third-party platform on your device and in its systems.
When you initiate linking, information about your RelayLink account and compatible devices may be exchanged with Amazon or Google, as applicable, so the integration can function. Those companies operate independently, and their handling of information is governed by their own policies, including Amazon’s Privacy Notice and the Google Privacy Policy. We do not use data processed for these integrations for advertising.
You can disable or unlink a voice assistant at any time in the Alexa app or Google Home app.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, unlink a third-party integration, or ask us to delete information, we will take reasonable steps to remove or anonymize it, subject to backup, security, and legal retention requirements.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through the App and our cloud platform. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
